I seem to remember a lot of people—including Bill Clinton–insinuating that people like Rush Limbaugh and other right wing radio hate mongers should take some responsibility for Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing.
What are the chances of them saying the same thing about Al Gore’s responsibility for this whacko who held people hostage at the Discovery Channel?

Since left wing radio, much less left wing hate radio basically doesn’t exist, your point is a non starter. Ah yes, Al Gore, that noted rabble rouser and hate merchant. LOL You’re reaching for anything now. The Discovery Channel guy was a kook, nothing more.

John this incident will be forgotten,dismissed by the mainstream media in a day or two because this nut was a follower of lefties like Gore. If the media can’t make a connection to a Conservative organization or philosophy they want nothing to do with it.
What about that black employee of the beer distributor who systematically gunned down 8 co-workers and admitted he singled out whites before killing himself. Can you imagine the outcry,the outrage if the races had been reversed. Race pimps like Sharpton and Jackson would have been on the first flight they could book. Obama would have discussed it at one of his press conferences. But it was only white people so lets move on. No big deal.
Yeah that’s it…nothing to see here…move along…
They say that someone is a product of right wing radio knowing full well that the accused would have received a full indoctrination of left wing propaganda from the public schools. Any ideas to the contrary would have had to have been learned elsewhere. He is an eco-warrior fighting the good fight in their eyes.
If it had been a different network, maybe people would have blamed John Cusack for his recent twitter rant:
Maybe instead of radio, they’ll blame Keith Olbermann or Ed Schultz. Oh wait – nobody watches them. Maybe Bill Press who recently compared the tea parties to Nazi on his left-wing show. Oh wait, nobody listens to him.

Your analogy is wrong. Gore never incited people to revolt and use inflammatory language to rile up people. You may disagree on the extent of his caution about global warming, but he never even hinted at any kind of uncivil behavior let alone whatever this wacko did. Gore doesn’t go on and on about how republicans are murderering future generations and so something must be done to stop them. He doesn’t even go that indirect route.
People like Rush have used inflammatory language AIMED at specific personalities and made them out to be enemies that needed to be vanquished and he uses a highly personal tone.
You’re kidding, right? Gore hasn’t faned the flames of global warming hysteria? This whacko cited Gore’s movie as one of his major influences. Gore has been flying around the world on his private jet telling anyone who will listen that the survival of the human race is in jeopardy. You call this lunatic a moderate? He is more extreme than Rush Limbaugh ever thought about being.
And Lennon’s killer read Catcher in the Rye. Big freaking deal. What you need to examine is if Gore was inciting people to revolt against entities that threatened global warming prevention efforts with rhetoric. Alarmist pronouncements of global warming is not the same as someone saying ” there you go, the evil corporations and republlicans are killing us. We need to do something to stop those murderers”. I have heard Beck and Rush use inflammatory language aimed at liberals and using words like evil and revolution which is more closer to inciting rage. I have seen one tea party related music video where the singer refers to the “evil that resides in the white house”.
You haven’t heard the accounts of people saying that they hoped Limbaugh would die. How about the things written and said about Dick Cheney when he had heart problems? You don’t think people ever referred to Bush and Cheney as evil? Were you in a coma from 2000-2008? Gore’s entire movie is nothing but hysteria.
Did Gore say that Bush is evil? His rhetoric was over the top on global warming similar to what your regular conservative says about their own pet policies. Oh, I will say it. Bush is not evil. But Cheney was sure damn close to it. We are fortunate we had the US consitution that put limits on his powers. I would dread seeing a guy like Cheney in charge of a South American country where leaders of both the left and right have been uncontrolled in their excesses and lack of accountability.
When people bashed Limbaugh, it was in response to similar statements by him. You don’t see liberals wanting to see PJ O Rourke dead. BTW, do not confuse liberals with extreme left wing radicals who probably wish most conservatives are dead.
Gore’s actions did not result in unnecessary deaths. Cheney’s actions did. Cheney engineered a lot of cherry picking of intelligence. BUsh was foolish enough to fall for that stuff the same way Obama fell for the Geithner and Summers bailout plans that continued the Paulson ones.
Bush and every democrat in power “fell for that stuff’ before Bush became president. What are some of those “similar statements” by Rush Limbaugh? I don’t think Cheney is evil and if he ran for president tomorrow against Obama, I would vote for him.
There’s no good way for the libs to spin this. James Lee was one of their own and his “manifesto” could have come from any prominent eco-lib. Liberals are certainly thanking the weather gods that there is a hurricane on the loose so that they can push James Lee’s story off the front page and quickly.

The Discovery Channel guy,like many envirochondriacs who wallow in guilt and self loathing,was worried about human overpopulation.Anyone who thinks there are too many people should commit suicide as a sacrifice to the Earth to set an example for the rest of us.

Why don’t you show me where left wing radio actually incite people to do something drastic to help in global warming efforts? (of which there is very little and if you pay attention, liberals read blogs more than they listen to left wing radio).
Usually a lot of liberal talk shows are about pressuring politicians to pass certain standards and other dry boring stuff. The stuff about warming can get a little to hysterical at times, but it is not based on attacking enemies of global warming.
Now, don’t pick some lunatic fringe leftist and quote him to back up your point. I am just judging based on what Gore and Maddow and other popular liberals have said in public. Nothing remotely about revolting or doing something drastic on human beings to change their minds. A lot of policy talk. that’s it.
I was being facetious. I know that left wing radio barely exists, much less has any influence. My point is that it was absurd for the left to try to pin some of the blame for Oklahoma City on “right wing” talk radio and I wondered if any of the people who did blame talk radio for McVeigh wouild be willing to do the same with the latest lunatic.

I’m not going to sit here and stoop to the level of those who are quick to blame the right for the actions of a few nutjobs. Just because those people choose to be narrowminded morons, doesn’t mean I have to be. This wasn’t Gore’s fault. This wasn’t Olbermann’s fault. This guy was a nut, plain and simple.
On that note, the media bias never ceases to amaze me and this story is just another example of it. A person with extreme conservative views does something stupid and people blame Limbaugh, O’Reilly, Beck, Coulter and the right in general for “preaching hate speech”. Yet when a lefty enviromental nut goes off the deep end and threatens the lives of others, it’s just business as usual…nothing to see here.
The best part is when the far-left media get’s it wrong after making their idiotic assumptions. Just one example…
J. Patrick Bedell. This wackadoo decided to shoot at the pentagon building back in March of 2010. Obviously the Messiah was already in office, so this could mean only one thing: He was a right-wing nut who was egged on by those in the right-wing media. He just has to be. There is no other explanation for his actions. The left media ran with it. As it turned out, Mr. Bedell was anti-Bush, a 9/11 truther and a registered Democrat. In the words of Homer J. Simpson…”D’oh!”.
Also, I’m sure those involved in the left-wing media and the five people who watch MSNBC were absolutely devastated to find out that Michael Enright wasn’t a bigoted far-right nutjob who decided to stab a muslim cab driver. Unfortunately for them, he was a member of a group called Intersections International, a New York City based multi-cultural, multi-faith initiative that supports the Ground Zero Mosque. Darn! No story there!
These extremists are nuts, left and right. There is only one person to blame…the suspect.

Who the hell listens to liberal talk radio on XM? I have a combination of liberal and libertarian ideologies and I dont know many who listen to liberal talk radio the same way my right wing friends listen to talk radio. In fact, my liberal friends and I listen to Rush and Hanniy, if at all, more than liberal talk radio. (For the entertainment value).
Liberals watch Olbermann, Maddow and check out blogs for the most part. Stop this nonsense about left wing radio.
