Didn’t mean stinking media. Should have used the words “will make sure” because they will have no choice. Goodell has guaranteed a spectacle with scheduled media dates that cannot be avoided. All this for a non-crime situation that could have been handled with a threat of suspension and the program which he went through. I’ve quoted it before and I’ll quote it again, Goodell wasn’t good enough to get his pound of flesh without spilling the blood. While you think he knows more, I’ll counter with conspiring with Dan Rooney to enhance his never ending program to advance Black minorities in the NFL. Rooney was willing to chance the suspended games as a show of “fairness” to Black players many of whom are now receiving free rides.

Didn’t have to. He hasn’t tossed a single pass and they were out there cheering up their rapist (alleged).

I base my opinon on his old newspaper column in the Post-Gazette. He was anti-Steelers, pro-Penguins. I have never heard his radio show, nor do I intend to ever hear it.

I’m sure that no one wants this to go away more than Ben Roethlisberger. That’s all the speculation I will make about the whole thing.

However, it is not going to go away. The media on all fronts along with the humongous aid of Roger Godell has made sure that it will be with us for some time. It will die down for awhile just as it has for the past six weeks or so but there are scheduled events for which it will raise its ugly head, time and again. A threat of suspension on future behavior would have best served the whole situation and we could be looking at just the upcoming season. But no, the media would have had to work too hard to come up with other stories, stories of merit. So John, as much as you are a member of the media, “Thanks a lot!”

You may be right but I still suspect that he learned a lot more about Ben during the course of the investigation into the Nevada and Georgia incidents. Otherwise, I think Ben and the union would have protested the severity of the punishment.

I wasn’t there so I didn’t see the arrival. I just think the classy thing would have been to not be part of an orchestrated arrival. It’s not a big deal. I just think that he should have pulled up in car, done the stupid interviews and left it at that.

It was a promotional gig by Max Starks because he recently became a investor/business partner in a mini-cooper dealership.

How they got there is irrelevant. The author was wrong when he said Ben drove that mini to “re-shape his image”.

Are you kidding? Not draw attention? It didn’t matter what Ben drove. He’d still have all the microphones in his face.

The point is, and was, that A LOT of what the media reports as “fact” in regards to Ben, simply isn’t factual at all.
