COSTA CONCORDIA : “EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF”

I’ve always wanted to ask a radical feminist if that equality stuff applied to lifeboats.

Have they been in favor of an “every person for him or herself” policy?

Unfortunately, the chance to answer that question was presented when the Costa Concordoia ran aground off the coast of Italy.

“Also speaking to the newspaper, Fabio Costa, a crewmate, said: ‘We were giving priority to kids and women and trying to leave the men until last, but they were not accepting it because it was their families.”

Is that OK now —not as it applies to kids, obviously — but as it applies to women?

Just wondering.

It will be interesting to hear if the men are villified –as they should be — if they did fight women for spots on the lifeboats. I’m not talking about the women who believe in equal rights for women.

I’m talking about the ones who are offended when you open a door for them.

JOHN, if you was on a sinking ship and was in the situation as those were, what would you have done? now their is a slight difference to my question to you.

1. your with family and the dam boat is sinking
OR
2. your on the ship by ur self, its sinking and you do what

IF you dont post ur reply how about add it to ur next book. bet it will be great reading like the last two books. thats my thoughts……….

SO ! again its sinking, you never been in this situation, you dont know what the out come will be but you do what ??????

I have no idea. It will never happen because I would rather spend two weeks in the Allegheny County jail than go on a cruise.

I always hold the door open for women. I’ve never run into one who was offended by it. Sometimes they seem surprised, but then give a big smile and say “thank you.”

It would be interesting to know the nationalities of the passengers, as it relates to the lifeboats. In some cultures, the priority on getting into lifeboats would be given to men.

There were very few Americans on this ship, so whatever behavior was observed can’t be attributed to Americans and our society.

The really funny thing is someone could have thrown a lifevest on and swam 20 meters to an island. They could have thrown a change of dry clothes into a plastic bag and swam the distance with one hand.

Having never been in a life or death situation, I am not sure I can’t answer the question properly. If I was with my family I would most certainly try to get them to safety. I think most guys would. But, after that it seems like it is everyone for themselves. I don’t think that would be odd behavior. Real life isn’t like the movies.

Now, considering this info comes from scientists, will you accept and embrace this, or will you call it a hoax? If testosterone levels are dropping, could it be possibly be a result of hormones artificially added to our food supply by, “gasp”, benevolent and wonderful corporations?

While it’s difficult to know for sure what one would do in a particular situation, it should be all women and children first. Men should put all women and children first, regardless of family ties.

Also, I agree with John. I’ll never be on a cruise ship. For the life of me, I don’t see the appeal of it.

We had a radical feminist engineer where I had worked and she was always causing trouble at our guys get-togethers such as bowling and golfing outings and banquets by showing up and demanding to be recognized. One day at work she was on a balcony getting coffee overlooking the lobby. I happened to be standing next to her while a few of my friends whistled up when they spotted her. She immediately turned around and gave them the finger, one on each hand. I was trying not to laugh but she caught me and said F—K YOU TOO. A real classy lady. She sure as hell wouldn’t have gotten my help on that ship.

I am still waiting for the radical feminists to demand women a have to enroll in Selective Service (i.e. make themselves eligible for the military draft). After all men have to do that, and the feminists fought so hard for women to be in the military (which required lowering the physical standards) so women are obviously able to serve.
