My man Proud Yinzer. Evaluate Brett Favre for me. Tell me how he transfers his weight on his throws, tell me about the spin he puts on the ball, tell me about his release, tell me how creative he is in the pocket. If you are going to make comments, then substantiate what you are saying.

It's a scout's take on a player or an issue. He looks at games and teams with a scout's eye. He's been evaluating players for 35 years.

Joe Butler's "scouting" website is a misnomer. What exactly did he "scout" about Brett Favre? Oh, he doesnt like training camp? What a revelation!

I like Joe Butler's blog, but its more opinion and anecdotal analysis than "scouting."

Great QB but I have to disagree with Joe that he'd make a good coach. Brett seems to be a me first type guy. He threw Packer coach Greenfield Mike McCarthy under the bus with his on again, off again retirement., forcing him to go with Aaron Rodgers out of necessity. He then bitched about the coach when he couldn't get his job back., making Mike look the bad guy. Jagoff !

His public waffling over whether or not to play after every season gets on my nerves. But I'm still a big fan. How can you not love the passion for the game of this guy and the way he plays?

Other QBs have played well until they were about 40, but I don't think anyone came close to the level of play that Favre had last year at that age (although Staubach was great at 37 and then quit due to concussions) Other QBs who's played that long, even when they play well, still often look old. Favre still moves well, still has a great arm. He really appears to have lost almost nothing. Great athlete.
