    For all of you Obamamites:
What do you get for your tax dollars? For the Dems in PGH: What do you get for hitting that button year after year? If you are on the inside and get no show jobs or lucrative no bid contracts I understand, but the rest of you (The Majority) get ripped off. The parking authority is a cash machine for the local Democratic party. The schools are terrible and the roads are worse. Where did all the money go when PGH was a major industrial center? We still have wood pipes underground. They steal, lie and cheat and you and you willingly allow it. It is insane.

I see alot of you get your info from Foxnews. Do you really think W would have been accepted to Yale if not for daddy; he’s Sonny Drysdale for chrissakes. You give him a job in the embassy of the Bahamas or something; not president; we’re still paying. We can argue all day but heres the facts; GWBush inherited the largest surplus in American history; he left office w/ the largest deficit ever. You can say coulda shoulda woulda; but those are facts.
I love city living also Kman; you guys enjoy tax-dodging Cranberry/Butler/Wash.Co.; where the right turn on red is considered a cultural event.

Of course Gore got in on his own. He’s a real genius.

You had your shot with politics on 93.7 The Man… It didn’t work out. Stick to what you do well, and that’s sports.

    • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

My show on The Zone led to a show on KDKA. The Zone job went away because CBS pulled the plug on the format all over the country. The people at the Zone couldn’t stop telling me how much they liked the show and the mix of sports, politics and entertainment was working. The KDKA job went away because they wanted me to work more hours for less money. I let them know I wasn’t interested. I still think an”anything goes” show would do well.

    Little Rush,

Who do you want as your President? We obviosuly know it is a republican, but which republican would you want?

    • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

Obama and his team of Bolsheviks are just getting started. The tea parties are a good start but more is needed. We are in a deep hole with many clever and nafarious forces aligned against traditional America. We the people must wake up and get active if we are to save the nation we love and secede…..oops I mean succeed.

Unregulated banks?? are you freaking kidding me? The housing market colapse and all its issues started with congress and not the banks. Did they banks make alot of risky loans to people who were underqualified? Absolutely. However, you have to remember why they did, the gov’t kept pushing for them to get more loans to less qualified people so whose to blame?
As far as healthcare does it need work, ya alot of it but this isn’t the answer not even close. I’m tired of hearing about scare tactics used by 1 side then you go and shout people are dying with no healthcare.
Most people have some option for gov’t coverage be it medicare or cade and don’t look into it. It’s not perfect but a start.
By the way is there anything else you’d like to blame on bush?? Did he kill kennedy too?
Oh and it’s kind of hard to make alot on the stock market if you don’t have a job slick

    • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

It wasn’t that long ago that Ocho and the libs were saying what a reckless idea it was for the government to “allow” us to maintain a private SS account based on the stock market. I wish I had invested every penn that was confiscated from me for SS and medicare over the last 35 years and invested it in the stocl market. Even with the bad economy, I would be able to buy a $250,000 deductible health insurance policy.

      • Adam

By the way John I really miss listening to your radio show on kdka when I was working in pittsburgh

      • Adam

I would settle for just being able to put my money away for my own retirement instead of it being thrown away to SS which I will probably never see

        • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

Bingo. Liberals are all about “choice”. How about being able to choose not to take part in the givt. retirement plan?

    • Ochotexto

There is a sight that ties Bush to the Kennedy assasination; I dont agree with it of course; it would put me on par w/ your birther/deathpanel/ tea bag crowd. Plus he’d be way too stupid to pull it off. Woulda showed up at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade by accident.; took out the leprechaun and asking where the suppository building is.

      • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

Obama would have paid Oswald 10 times more than he needed to do it.

      • Adam

See there you go. I make 1 comment against Obama and here we go with the birther tea bager comments. Do you ever wonder why people don’t take that kind of criticisim seriously? You don’t come up with 1 single agrument against what I’ve said just go with the name calling.

        • Ken

It’s because they can’t make a cogent argument. Name calling is all those on the left have.

Every conservative must be labeled as stupid. John Kerry went to Harvard and we all heard about how brilliant he was. Bush went to Harvard and Yale and had better grades than Kerry, but he was protrayed as an idiot. Ronald Reagan was a sucessful and popular California governor for eight years and was the greatest president of the 20th century but was portrayed as a dunce by the media. Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle were both elected to office at a young age and were very successful in those offices. Both portrayed as morons by the left.

Yet Obama is portrayed as so highly intelligent despite believing in economic philosophies that have brought nothing but pain and millions of deaths in the countries where they were tried. He even hires people who admire mass murderers like Chairman Mao. But hes a genius. He believes that mankind can control the climate at will. He believes in keeping our country’s natural resources off limits so that we can be dependent on foreign nations for energy. But he’s a great genius.

          • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

            Couldn’t agree more.

          • David McGwire

Let’s not make it sound like the lefty’s are the only (or even the majority) of name callers. The right wing chicken littles who always treat every decision Obama makes as “the end of civilization as we know it,” do their fare share of name calling.

You know how you can tell a Republican has no good arguement to relay, they always pull the “It’s an attack on our constitution” card. Whenever I hear that overused line come out in a Republican’s arguement, I know they’ve reached the end of their line.

          • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

How about when it actually IS an attack on the constitution? Which the entire New Deal and Great Society were?

  • http://www.patrickfbruce.com Goose

As a person that has been involved in helping to plan the G8 Summit in Georgia a few years ago, I think my prospective might shed some light on The Washington Post column about transparency.

As part of the preparations ( I was involved in ground transportation for the media) we had to meet with the CIA, FBI, and Secret Service and their opening message was this: This is not a United States event, it’s a world event and we are just the “host” so a lot of the stuff you will consider “restrictions of freedom” are only “enforcement of security”.

What did the Washington Post expect, a cocktail party on the White House Lawn?

    • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

I thought this guy was different. Remember hope and CHANGE? He was going to be different from past administrations, negotiations on c-span etc… He’s a political hack who’s in way over his head and trying to “transform” something that doesn’t need to be transformed. It needs to be restored.

      • Ochotexto

Its hard to restore a fake war in wh/ we invaded the wrong country; fix unregulated banks that have run amok; immigration, people dying w/ no health care; deficits, clean up after the worst environmental/safety regulation pres.(Bush killed those miners) ever; Katrina; etc… etc… time doesn’t allow me.
And if yunz guys haven’t made money in the stock market under Obamanation y’all need to fire your brokers.

        • http://justwatchthegame.com JohnSteigerwald

He’s not trying to fix the problems from the last 8 years. He has a problem with the last 230 years,

        • Gil B

We get it, O’texto. You don’t like President Bush. What does a coal mine explosion have anything to do with Obama controlling the media? Keep the post relevant, and maybe people will buy what you have to say about Obama. As it is, you justify support for Obama by bashing Bush. You do this every time. Try, say, for your next three posts (baby steps) to justify Obama’s policies without bashing Bush. Find out if you really support Obama, or just hate Bush. And if you support Obama after you realize his policies actually are bad for the United States, ask yourself why. And then ask yourself: “Self, what does that make me?”

          • Ochotexto

Your point is well taken Gil B.; I have much concern with the current admin; the unemployment figures; for one; are a bit scary. The difference with me is Im willing to give BO a chance based on the quagmire he inherited via W.; who no doubt WAS the worst prez in US history. You guys are piling on; Im just adding perspective.
And thanks for the suggestions on how I should think; quite introspective; can I get a hit of that ?

          • Cherry Cola

Looks like he lost the challenge…in his very first post, he again says he is willing to “give BO a chance based on….” Yes, you guessed it, the mess he got from Bush! Gil B challenged him to go 3 posts…he couldn’t get through 1!!! Did Bush point the finger at Clinton, 16 months into his administration after inhering a recession? I’m not defending Bush, rather, I’m suggesting that Obama is blame-happy and he’s using it to justify every one of his tax abusive decisions. So, because of Bush, he HAD to outspend all previous 43 Presidents COMBINED in his first 8 months in office? Get real. Bush must be the reason he had to appoint a tax cheat to head the IRS, too, using this logic. Bush must be the reason he’s broken about a gazillion campaign promises, right? Can’t you just hear Ochotexto in 7 years, as the country is in a utter chaos because of Obama’s socialistic agenda….blaming Bush for that, too? There’s no stopping Ochoblamo.

          • sherryfish

Ocho — give it up and don’t waste any more of your time. This obviously is a far right blog which is just fine. Love to see what they all are thinking…it’s the same way we felt for 8 years. I’m with you.

      • Khalifa

i am so glad the Rooneys came out in support of this clown, i mean community organizer…what a bum Obama is.

        • Adam

God was I depressed when they supported him lol

  • Ken

But Newsweek’s cover this week is “America’s Back!” The story of our remarkable economic comeback. Amazing how the media will never stop worshipping Obama.

Used to be a great magazine. Now a ridiculous left-wing pamphlet that makes no more attempt at being objective than MCNBC (with whom they are affiliated.

The Bush years, from 2002 to 2006 were statistically among the best years in the history of the country. Historially low unemployment, low inflation, low interest rates. Yet the media had a lot of people convinced that things weren’t good. Polls would show a good percentage of people believing that the economy was in recession.

Now we have unemployment at 9.7%, which oddly doesn’t seem to go any higher despite the government’s own numbers reporting fewer people working and a smaller labor force every month. A lot of analysts put the true unemployment rate much higher. But now Newsweek is heralding this as a huge recovery.

    The media is so corrupt.
